Would you like to see Greater Vernon become a more resilient, energy-efficient community?

Do you have ideas about how we might meet our future needs for food, transportation, housing, the local economy, alternative energy, conservation of the environment, and more?

Come and take part in the Vernon in Transition Public Launch!

2-5 pm: “Open Space”, with facilitated discussions of the question: “How can we work together to become a more resilient, lower-energy community?” Share what you are already doing, present new ideas for action, or just come to listen and learn.

Childcare is provided during the “Open Space”; children can take part in artist-led workshops to create musical instruments and costumes from ‘waste’ items (an activity called ‘up-cycling’).

6-9 pm: “Celebration”, starting with a dinner featuring our local harvest, followed by a variety show displaying the talents of local musicians, dancers and storytellers.

Where: Trinity United Church, 3300 Alexis Park Drive, Vernon

When: Saturday, Oct 4th, 2014 Donations welcome: $0 - $30
