A heartfelt tribute to a beloved mother - celebrating her grace, spirit and unconditional love. Free to drive the coast, sing with Elvis and dance without a care. Thank you, dear Mother of Mine.
Writing this song was my way of preparing to say goodbye to my mom. It is an attempt to ease the heartbreak with gratitude, love and the hope that she would be free and at peace. (My mother is still very much alive and she loves the song!)

Lyrics
Mother Of Mine
I got a call today, that you passed away
Oh mother of mine
They said you went to sleep
So peacefully, dear mother of mine
I can see you in your sports car, driving to the beach
You and Elvis singing sweetly, now you are free
To ride the highway, swim the sea
You won’t keep them waiting
You were always on time, mother of mine
Thank you for loving me
I know you’ll find your way, with amazing grace
Oh mother of mine
And if you see dad there, tell him I still care
Dear mother of mine
I can see you in your long dress with diamonds in your hair
You are laughing and dancing, with no worries, no cares
Ride the highway, swim the sea
You won’t keep them waiting
You were always on time, mother of mine
Thank you for loving me
mmm, mmm, oooo, oooo
Ride the highway, swim the sea
You won’t keep them waiting
No you… won’t keep them waiting.…
You were always on time, mother of mine
Thank you for loving me….
Thank you…. dear mother of mine…
For loving me
